SnapKnot Releases Free Wedding Planning iPhone App

New mobile application allows couples to browse wedding photographer directory from any location

BOSTON, Mass. – September 7, 2011 – SnapKnot, the photocentric website designed to help engaged couples find wedding photographers, today announced the release of its free wedding planning app for the iPhone. The app enables couples to browse wedding photographers listed on the SnapKnot website from any location via their iPhone.

“Couples today are incredibly busy with the enormous task of planning a wedding,” said Mike Rheaume, co-founder of SnapKnot. “Searching for wedding photographers has historically been time-consuming without a single simple, effective, user-friendly directory. This new app further helps us bring convenience to couples seeking a wedding photographer by allowing them to search from anywhere.”

The app harnesses the iPhone’s internal GPS technology to refine search results of SnapKnot’s 3,100 photographers to those within current proximity. Searches can be further refined by choosing a city, mile radius, and budget range. Social media capabilities allow users to share favorites via Facebook, Twitter, or e-mail.

The app is currently available for free download in the iTunes Store. It is also compatible with the iPod Touch and iPad.
