Santa Barbara wedding photographer, Leah Valentine, recently shot the gorgeous nuptials of Philadelphia teachers, Matt and Katie. The pair’s Carriage House wedding in Rockwood Park was a not only a beautiful location with countless opportunities for Valentine to take great portraits, but also boasted a drop-dead gorgeous conservatory. Sticking with their laid-back country theme, Katie chose preserved white roses, hydrangea, and babies breath for her flowers. Speaking of a personal touch- the wooden sign as guests entered the ceremony was hand-painted by Katie’s mom on a door from Katie’s childhood home.
Says Valentine of Matt and Katie’s union:
“Their sheer happiness and love for their family shined through in every detail of their wedding!”
“Reception tables were covered in navy blue table clothes topped with delicate sheer overlays and adorned with vintage books and mason jars with floating candles. Such a lovely dedication to their love of teaching!”
“The adorable love bird cake topper was a gift from Katie’s sister, purchased from Dances with Clay’s Etsy store. In addition to loads of delicious food and drink at the reception, guests were also treated to hand-drawn caricatures of themselves. Such a lovely way to remember Matt and Katie’s fabulous wedding!”
