Scott Baker Photography, located in Brooklyn, New York, was created by an extremely passionate wedding photographer. Scott owes much of his desire and passion to his father who gave him a Konica Minolta Rangefinder back in 1975. This gift is where it all began!
Scott began taking pictures all the time and even learned to develop film in a gang dark room, becoming a very good black and white printer (what he says is a lost art now). He attended the School of Visual Arts in New York City and his career took off from there. Scott has rarely been away from the camera for more than a week!
Although Scott has ventured in other entrepreneurial directions, he always comes back to his true love: photography. With a style that blends journalistic and fine art, Scott also has a great appreciation for light, knowing the effect it can have on the outcome of a photo. You can easily see this gratitude as he describes one of his favorite wedding moments:
“I shot a wedding on Long Beach Long Island during a warm Indian summer day…With great late afternoon light I had Stacy run through the beach at waters edge, the moment was true and sure bliss. Later in the day we also had the great fortune of getting the late setting sun summer light. I was able to capture the bride and groom in the golden light! They were truly blessed that day.”
If a bride books during the month of January 2013, Scott will include a FREE 13 x 19 Custom Fiber Print (Valued at $350).
Fun fact: In following his heart, Scott has had the exciting pleasure of meeting and photographing President Bill Clinton! If you want to see more from this passionate wedding photographer, Scott Baker, you can also visit his website!
