Top Wed-Tech Companies WedPics and SnapKnot Team Up To Show Strength In B2B Niches

January 14, 2014

SnapKnot, a leading online wedding photographer directory has recently partnered with WedPics, a leader in the wedding photo sharing space. The two wed-tech startups both saw a different gap in the wedding industry, but quickly realized that they could work together in a mutually beneficial way to better serve one another’s audiences. How do you keep a balance of finding new brides to use your product while also maintaining your wedding vendor customers? Professional wedding photographers recommending a branded photo sharing app to their brides, and a candid photo sharing app recommending a resource to find a professional wedding photographer, is the perfect solution.

WedPics now offers SnapKnot photographers the ability to create a personal branded app for their clients, in turn WedPics gains new vendor sign ups. SnapKnot benefits by offering their photographers a new mobile feature as well as gaining access to brides from WedPics who are looking for a professional photographer to compliment the collection of photos they will collect via the WedPics app.

WedPics has topped over 150,000 weddings (with over 750,000 users), hosting over 3000 weddings each weekend in 2013! WedPics guests and couples alike upload over 1,000,000 photos each month! Every day, between 400 and 2000 new couples sign up on WedPics, on average 7 months before their weddings. There are a lot of wedding decisions that have yet to be completed- such as selecting a photographer.

“Our couples have a lot of choices to make in the planning process and selecting the right photographer is a big decision. The WedPics platform is the perfect solution for couples to collect all of their guests’ candid photos, but there’s always going to be that inherent need for a professional photographer. This is where our partnership with SnapKnot makes a lot of sense. By partnering with one of the most dominant niche services in the space, we have a tremendous opportunity to tackle the photo aggregation solution twofold.” says Justin Miller, WedPics CEO and Co-founder.

SnapKnot has a directory of thousands of photographers and with their recent re-launch, they set in motion a new way for brides to search for photographers. In addition to contacting individual photographers directly, brides can now also choose to submit quote requests for free by filling in their wedding date, photography budget, and location. Then, the leads are sent to matched photographers.  Since their re-launch just over 1 month ago, thousands of leads have already been sent to photographers.

These two powerhouses in the wedding-tech-startup-photo industry are setting out to prove that there is strength in niche partnerships. “We want to set a new standard for tech companies in the wedding industry and show that you can find value in working together, and grow into a collaborative positive force.”  -Reid Warner, SnapKnot CEO.
